These terms explain what to expect when you use the Tented desktop app, your account and connected services, including Desk and Tented Cloud. Tented is provided by Zulfat Iliasov, an independent developer. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Tented's developer. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Using the beta

Tented is free during the beta, with all features available and no payment details required. Some usage limits apply, such as the number of Desk messages you can send each day.

As development continues, features may change or be removed, and you may encounter bugs or interruptions. Keep backups of information that matters to you.

Paid plans will come after the beta. We will email you at least 30 days before any paid plan starts. You choose whether to subscribe; the beta will not turn into an automatic charge.

Your account

You need an account to use Tented. Keep your sign-in secure and contact us if you think someone else has access. Your account is for your own use: please do not share it, resell access, bypass usage limits or interfere with the service. You are responsible for your use of the account. We may suspend access if you misuse the service or break these terms.

You can stop using Tented at any time. To close your account, follow the instructions in the privacy notice.

Trading and your broker

Tented helps you analyse and enter trades through broker software on your computer, such as Interactive Brokers TWS or IB Gateway, or thinkorswim where supported. An order reaches your broker only when you place it. Your broker provides live quotes and option chains under your agreement with them.

Other information, including price history, daily closes, news and the economic calendar, comes from third-party and public sources. It may be delayed or incomplete. Calculated figures, including Greeks, P&L, risk graphs and margin estimates, depend on the available data and model assumptions and may be inaccurate or out of date.

You make your own trading decisions and are responsible for the orders you place. Review order details before submitting them, and confirm order status, executions and positions in your broker's platform.

Analysis and AI assistance

Tented provides software and information, not investment advice. Nothing in the app or on this site is a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell a security or derivative. Options involve substantial risk and are not suitable for every investor.

Desk generates answers using AI models. Its responses can be helpful starting points, but may be wrong or incomplete. Check the facts and calculations before relying on them for a decision.

Your data

Your journal, strategies and other content remain yours. Tented Cloud is on by default to sync your journal, settings and workspaces across your computers. You can choose "Your computers only" in Settings → Sync and save backups to a folder of your choice. Desk and Feedback use separate online services. The privacy notice explains what information each service receives and how to request deletion.

Availability and warranties

We work to make Tented useful and reliable, but cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose, or that data will never be lost.

To the extent the law allows, Tented is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. This does not affect guarantees or consumer rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Responsibility for losses

Where the law permits, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from using Tented, even if those losses were foreseeable. Subject to the same legal limits, our total liability for claims relating to Tented is limited to what you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. During the free beta, that amount is zero.

These limits do not exclude or reduce any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory rights under applicable law continue to apply.

Independent software

Tented is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Interactive Brokers LLC or Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., the provider of thinkorswim. Your use of their services remains subject to your agreements with them.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as Tented develops. We will email you before a material change takes effect. If you do not agree with the update, you can stop using Tented and close your account. Continuing to use Tented after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
