General settings

Settings → General sets how Tented starts and how it shows times.

• Connect at launch: on by default. Off, Tented starts disconnected and you connect from Connection or the connection chip. There is no Disconnect button; turn this off to start without connecting.
• Time zone: Local (default) or New York, for times across the app and the status bar clock. Market dates and expirations always use New York.
• Clock: 24-hour (default, 13:30) or 12-hour (1:30 PM).
• Alert notifications, Condition notifications and Fill notifications: on by default. While Tented is in the background, a plan alert that fires, a scenario condition that is met or an order that fills also shows a system notification. Clicking it opens the trade. See Notifications.
• Setup wizard: Run setup again repeats the first-launch setup (connection, account, trade history).

Note

If no notifications appear although the toggle is on, the system is blocking Tented. Allow it in System Settings → Notifications (macOS) or Settings → System → Notifications (Windows).

If Connect at launch is on but Tented did not connect, check the connection chip. Tented keeps redialing every 5 seconds until TWS answers (see Connect to Interactive Brokers).
