The economic calendar

The calendar tells you which sessions carry FOMC, CPI, jobs, PCE or other releases before you pick an expiration.

  • Window: This week, 2 weeks (the default) or 30 days. Each starts today: This week is the next seven days, not the calendar week.
  • Importance: Important (the default) shows FOMC, CPI, jobs, GDP, PCE and the other market movers. This follows TradingView’s three-bar events. All adds auctions, Fed speeches, housing, regional surveys and smaller releases.
  • Events are grouped by New York trading day, with today marked. Events whose time has passed today are dimmed.
  • Times follow Settings → General → Time zone (Local or New York), as the footer says. Clicking the clock in the status bar switches the zone too. When your local day differs from the New York day, the time carries its own weekday and date.
  • The source button on a row opens the publisher’s page in Tented’s article window (Read an official document).
  • Ask on a row opens a new Desk conversation with a question about that event in the composer. Nothing is sent until you send it.

The calendar refreshes every 15 minutes while Briefing is open.

If an event is missing or has no time, see Calendar event is missing and Calendar time is unconfirmed or missing.
