Choose Tented Cloud or your computers only

Choose where your journal lives: Title bar → gear → Settings → Sync → Where your journal lives.

• Tented Cloud (default): the same journal on every computer.
• Your computers only: nothing from the journal is sent to Tented Cloud, and each computer keeps the journal it has now. In the confirmation, tick Also delete the copy in Tented Cloud to remove what was already sent. You can also do that later with Copy in Tented Cloud → Delete….

The choice belongs to your Tented account, so your other computers follow it at their next sync. The This computer row shows the status, for example “Up to date, last synced …”. Sync now syncs at once.

Choose between two journals. If this computer and Tented Cloud both hold a journal, the “Choose your journal” dialog shows each one’s accounts and trades.

• Keep this computer’s sends this journal to your other computers.
• Use Tented Cloud’s replaces the journal here and restarts Tented.
• The journal you don’t keep is saved in your backup folder first.
• Not now leaves a Choose a journal chip in the title bar. Nothing syncs until you choose.

After you restore a backup, Tented also asks you to choose: the restored journal is unlinked from the cloud copy so the cloud cannot undo the restore. Choose Keep this computer’s to keep it.

Note

Each Tented account has its own journal. Signing in with another account restarts Tented into that account’s journal; if a journal looks empty after sign-in, sign in with the account you used before.
