Market-data lines
A line is one contract IB streams to Tented. IB limits how many you can stream at once, so Tented counts them and stops streaming strikes farther from the money when it reaches the cap.
- The status bar always shows Lines n/N, in amber from 90% of the allowance. Click it for details.
- Settings → Connection → Market data lines shows how many are in use (for example “62 of 100”) and who holds them: each workspace, open trades’ legs, Desk, the background monitor, the risk graph and the Trades book.
- If IB gives the app fewer lines than you set, the panel says so: TWS’s own quotes or another app hold the rest.
- Line allowance is 100 by default; whole numbers from 100 to 10,000 are accepted.
At the cap, far strikes show dashes in the chain. That is by design; see No quotes in the chain.
