A figure shows a dash

What you see. A figure shows “—” instead of a number.

Why. By design: Tented shows a dash when a value is unknown rather than guessing it. Common reasons:

  • No quote yet, or only one side quoted (a mid needs both bid and ask).
  • The broker reported no IV or delta for that option. Tented shows a dash rather than guess.
  • Today’s P&L needs the previous close and the trade’s cash before the session.
  • The trade has not been valued yet.

Legs without a bid or ask can show an estimated mark instead; the risk graph says how many legs are estimated.

What to do. Check the connection chip at the right of the title bar and wait for quotes. If only far strikes are empty, see No quotes in the chain. If a figure stays a dash while its neighbours have numbers, send Feedback with what you were looking at.
