Edit an action or fill

Use this when a manual or imported fill has the wrong price or fee, so the trade’s totals and Performance come out right.

  1. Expand the trade, then on the action click Edit (or ⋯ → Edit values and note).
  2. Change what is wrong. The form shows the action’s Time (typed like “Sep 28, 2026 15:35”, in your display time zone), and for each fill its Side, Qty, Price and Fees. An option fill also has Expiry, Strike and Type.
  3. Press Enter to save, or Escape to cancel.

Cash is computed as you type and cannot be typed in: change the price, quantity or side instead. Note takes a line on why the action happened or what changed (Notes on an action).

A value you changed is marked edited, with a dot beside the contract. Saving updates the trade’s totals, and a trade can move between Open and Closed because of it. A combo action, one recorded only by its total cost, is edited from ⋯ → Edit combined cost.

If you see “This action changed elsewhere and was reloaded; edit it again.”, the action changed on another computer or window while you were editing. Open the form again.

Performance dates a trade by the time of its last fill, so editing the closing action’s Time moves it between months. See Trade in the wrong month in Performance.
