Pick a symbol and expiration

The chain follows one symbol and shows one expiration at a time (T-Chain and Delta chain compare dates). Change either from the toolbar.

A trade page’s symbol is fixed to the trade. On a draft, click the symbol or type to change it.

Change the symbol.

• In a workspace click the symbol button (tip: “Search symbol”), or type any letter, digit or “/” while no field has focus.
• Results are tagged Stock, Index or Future.
• Choose with ↑ ↓ and Enter.

Pick an expiration. Use the dropdown or the Previous expiration and Next expiration arrows. Each entry reads days to expiration, date, ATM IV and, with Implied price distribution on, the ±1σ expected move. A dot marks expirations where you hold legs (filled) or have modeled legs (hollow).

With thinkorswim the list may first show near dates and a spinner, then the full calendar about ten seconds later. T-Chain and Delta chain have their own expiration headers instead of the dropdown.
