What is Desk?

Before you adjust, roll or close, you ask the same questions every time: what does this cost, what does it change, what happens to my max loss, what if I do nothing. Desk is Tented’s assistant for working those out against your actual trade. It reads your journal and quotes, models entries, adjustments, rolls and exits on listed contracts valued the way the app values your trades, and explains what it found.

It gives analysis, not advice, and it never places, changes or cancels an order. When it weighs choices, leaving the trade alone is one of them.

  • Compare adjustments. On a trade that is tested, ask “what adjustments fit this trade, and what does each one change?” Desk models each candidate, including leaving the trade alone, and shows what each one changes.
  • Price a roll as a close plus an open. Ask for the roll and see what it costs and what it changes before you build it.
  • Find an entry within limits you state. Say “a 16-delta put credit spread on SPX, defined risk under $1,000”, and Desk models a few candidates and compares them against those limits.
  • Review a closed trade. On a closed trade Desk starts with “What went right and wrong”, “Against the plan”, “Compared with others” and “The lesson”, which helps you write the note.
  • Ask how Tented works. Ask “how do I link my IB account?”. Desk reads the same help articles as Tented support and can explain the steps. It cannot change settings or send a Feedback report.
