Find a trade in the Journal
Title bar → Journal (⌘4, Ctrl4 on Windows). The Journal has two tabs: Fills (the default) and Performance.
On Fills, the controls at the right of the tab strip narrow the list:
- Account: All accounts or one account. With All accounts, each row names its account.
- Open, Closed, All: which trades are listed. The list starts on Open. On All, closed trades carry a Closed badge.
- Search trades, strikes, notes: matches a trade number (such as 12), the trade’s name, its underlying, a strike, or a note.
Open trades are listed first. The columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| # | The trade’s number. |
| Trade | Its name, its structure when that says more than the name, and the account name when the list spans accounts. |
| Underlying | The symbol. |
| Expiry | The expiration, or two expirations separated by a slash (a calendar). More than two show the first and “+N”. Open trades add their days to expiration. |
| Size | The quantity. |
| Held | “since” the opening date for an open trade; opened → closed for a closed one. |
| P&L | Realized P&L for a closed trade. For an open trade, the value the Trades view currently has for it, with its age in front when the value is stale. A dash means the trade has no value yet. |
Realized P&L follows Settings → Trading → Commissions in P&L (Exclude, Include or Round trip), the same setting Performance starts from.
