Edit a setup

Edit a setup when Tented’s rules differ from how you really trade, for example a wider DTE range. The editor puts each rule beside the entries it came from.

Click the pencil after Use (tip: “Edit setup”), or the pencil in the import result. The Edit setup window has:

  • Name and Size in lots.
  • Expiration: Days to expiration (target and the accepted range, plus Prefer the monthly), A range of days, or The one on screen. A line “Your entries: 21 · 21 · 22 DTE” shows the DTE of each entry; those inside your range are marked.
  • Legs: for each leg, Front or Days after the front, and the strike rule (By delta, Points from the price, % from the price, Points from another leg, % from another leg, Same strike as another leg) with its value. The last column shows what your entries had, such as “9–12 Δ”.
  • A preview, “Today: …”, showing the exact legs and credit or debit Use would trade now. It needs the chain on this symbol: open the setup’s symbol, or start a new trade on it. Nothing is placed.

Save keeps your version on every computer, and the setup carries an Edited badge. Back to what your history shows drops your edits.
