Manage workspace tabs
Each workspace is a tab. You switch views from the title bar, then add, rename or close tabs as you compare symbols.
- Switch views. Title bar: Trades (⌘1), Workspaces (⌘2), Briefing (⌘3), Journal (⌘4). On Windows use Ctrl. The workspace tabs show in Workspaces only.
- Add a workspace. Click + after the last tab, or press ⌘T (CtrlT on Windows). A new workspace opens on SPX with no panels. It reads “Empty workspace” and offers the layouts and panels to start from; see Choose a layout.
- Rename. Double-click the tab, type, press Enter (Esc cancels). Names take 24 characters. Until you rename a workspace, its tab follows its symbol. When two tabs would read the same, the second shows a number (“SPX 2”); rename either one to tell them apart.
- Close. Click × on the tab. You can close every workspace; the view then shows “No workspaces” with an Add workspace button.
If the + button is gone, see Can’t add a workspace or panel.
