Add and edit legs
A scenario is a set of modeled legs. Build one, change a number, and read its margin, P&L and Greeks before you commit anything.
A scenario row has a color swatch, an expand arrow, the name, a Plot checkbox and a trash button. Badges add detail: no legs yet, waiting for quotes, when (it has a condition), met 10:42 (the condition was met), at 7590.00 (priced as if entered with the underlying there) and ↳ (drawn on top of another scenario).
- Add. Click + Scenario under the list, or click a bid or ask in the chain.
- Edit legs. Expand the scenario: Call or Put, Buy or Sell, quantity, expiration and strike. Add leg adds a row and the trash button on a leg removes it.
- Rename. Double-click the name.
- Duplicate copies a scenario with its legs so you can change one number and compare.
- Adjustment (“New step, drawn on top of this one”) adds a scenario based on this one.
- Delete. The trash button deletes a scenario, and Builder settings → Delete all scenarios deletes every one.
- Commit opens the Commit dialog, where you save the scenario to the Journal, send it to Interactive Brokers, or both. See Place an order. The dialog’s Lots field scales the whole structure and keeps its ratio, so a 1 / -2 / 1 butterfly at 3 lots commits as 3 / -6 / 3.
- Condition (trade page, draft and open trades) tells you when a step is due. See Scenarios and conditions. Conditions only mark a step; they never place an order.
If a scenario says “waiting for quotes” or Commit is disabled, see Scenario says waiting for quotes and Commit or Send is disabled.
