Add a condition

A condition is the “when” of a scenario. Tented checks it in the background and tells you when it holds.

On a draft or open trade, press Condition on the scenario (it reads Edit condition once set). The dialog “When to scenario” lists clauses under “All of these”; every clause must hold. Add up to six with Add clause.

Clause types

Price: the underlying at or above (≥) or at or below (≤) a level. Measure the level from a Fixed price, from the Entry price (± points or %), or from a leg’s strike (± points).
Delta: the position’s delta in shares: |Δ| at or beyond a band, or Δ at or above or below a value.
P&L: at or above or below an amount in dollars, or as a percent of max profit or max loss.
DTE: days to the nearest held expiration, at or below a number.
Date: on or after a date (New York).
Time: at or after a time of day in New York time. On its own it is true from that time until midnight, every day; add a Date clause to start at one moment. The editor shows how much of today’s theta decay is gone by then, such as “≈ 71% of today’s decay gone by then”.

Holds for

Holds for sets how many minutes the clauses must hold before the condition is met (default 2, up to 60). The same window applies before it clears. A condition made only of DTE, Date and Time clauses is met at once.

To drop a condition, open Edit condition and press Remove condition.
