Paste fills from thinkorswim
- In thinkorswim, copy a fill. For a single put, copy its one row in the Account Statement’s Trade History; it carries the execution time. For a vertical or a butterfly, right-click the filled order in Filled Orders and choose Copy; that copy has no time.
- Pick one account in the Journal’s Account filter, then Add → Paste from thinkorswim. Tented reads the clipboard at once.
- Check each fill’s symbol, Debit and legs. Fill in Executed (New York) if the copy had no time, and Fees USD: thinkorswim gives no fees. Click Review import.
- Set each Destination: Create new trade, Add action to an open trade on that symbol, or Replace modeled entry for an entry you saved that day without sending. Click Import fills.
The result reads “N imported; M duplicates skipped.” Duplicates are judged by time, contracts, quantities and combined cost, so identical fills at the same time cannot be told apart.
Spread fills have a total cost but no per-leg prices.
Pasting an order instead of a fill is New → Paste from thinkorswim, which builds a draft (Trade builder).
If Tented says the fill is unsupported, or the menu item is greyed out, see thinkorswim paste problems.
