Sync

You trade from more than one computer. Sync keeps the same journal, settings and workspaces on every computer you sign in on. It goes through Tented Cloud and is on by default. It covers accounts, trades, fills, plans, scenarios, alerts, notes and strategies, plus settings and workspaces. Connection settings and panel sizes stay on each computer. Desk conversations are saved to your Tented account separately and show up on every computer, whatever you choose here.

Sync is separate from backups, which copy the journal to a folder (see Backups).

Updated on another computer. When settings, strategies, plans, scenarios, alerts or notes change on another computer, a notice counts down and the window reloads: after 10 seconds while you use it (Reload now cuts it short; the notice can’t be dismissed), or when you come back to the window.

Note

When two computers change the same item, the later change wins; there is no conflict prompt. Tented does not merge two journals. The simulator never syncs.
