A keyboard shortcut does nothing
What you see. A shortcut does nothing, or does something you did not expect.
Why and what to do.
- A shortcut does nothing. A text field has focus, or a dialog is open (by design). Click an empty part of the window and try again.
- Typing a letter opens the symbol picker. By design in Workspaces and on a draft trade. Click into a field first if you meant to type elsewhere.
- ⌘V opens a dialog. Your clipboard holds a thinkorswim order and a trade page is open. Anything else on the clipboard is left alone.
- Text and rows changed size. ⌘+ or ⌘− changed density. Press ⌘0.
- The chart ignores +, − and arrows. The chart must have focus: click it. Inside a projection field the keys edit the field instead.
- ⌘5 closes Desk instead of opening it. By design: it toggles Desk over the view you are on.
See Keyboard shortcuts. On Windows, use Ctrl for ⌘.
