Set up a second computer

To trade from a second computer, install Tented and sign in with the same account. If your journal is in Tented Cloud and this computer has none, Tented shows “Restoring your journal from Tented Cloud…” and then opens with your accounts, trades and settings instead of first-run setup.

Note

Connection settings and panel sizes belong to each computer, so they differ between computers by design.

If you chose Your computers only, move the journal with a backup:

1. On the first computer, put its backup folder in iCloud Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox (Settings → Backups → Change…) and click Back up now.
2. On the second computer, point the backup folder at the same cloud folder.
3. Settings → Backups → Restore… and pick the file. See Restore a backup.

If both computers already hold a journal, Tented asks which to keep (see Choose Tented Cloud or your computers only). If a second computer opened setup instead of your journal, Tented Cloud did not answer at launch; if you then add anything, choose Use Tented Cloud’s when asked.
