Create a scenario
A scenario holds the legs of one planned step so you can see its effect on the risk graph without trading it.
- Press + Scenario under the list, click a bid or ask in the chain, or press Paste to build one from a thinkorswim order.
- A new scenario is named “Scenario 2”, “Scenario 3” and so on. Double-click the name to rename it.
- Each scenario gets its own curve color automatically; the color cannot be changed.
- The trash button on the scenario row deletes it.
Model the legs
Section titled “Model the legs”Expand the scenario and edit its rows: Call or Put, Buy or Sell, quantity (1 to 999), expiration and strike. Add leg adds a row and the trash button removes one. You can also click bids and asks in the chain, or drag a leg tab on the graph (see Edit legs on the curve).
The scenario row’s Qty is the contracts modeled. Rows read “waiting for quotes” until prices arrive, and “no legs yet” while empty.
