A futures option chain shows no quotes

What you see. A futures option chain (ES, NQ, RTY, YM, MES, MNQ, CL, GC or MGC) shows no quotes.

What to do.

  • Check your IB market data subscription for that exchange. Without one Tented falls back to delayed data. See Market data you need.
  • For orders, check that your account has futures-options trading permission. Without it IB rejects the order with a “no trading permissions” message.
  • If only far strikes are empty, see No quotes in the chain.
