Cancel an order

Click the × on the working-order chip in the trade header. The order’s state then follows IB’s own status message, and the chip disappears when IB reports the order cancelled.

Cancelling touches the order only

An order sent with Save & send was written to the journal when you sent it, and that entry stays, showing a position IB never opened. To remove it: Journal → expand the trade → ⋯ on the action → Delete this action. If the order was a closing order, the trade is already Closed; deleting its Close action reopens it.

An order sent with Send has no journal entry, so cancelling it leaves nothing to clean up.
