Delete a trade

Delete changes your journal only. It does not cancel an order at IB or close a position there; to close a position, see Close a trade.

Delete a trade

1. Right-click the trade’s card → Delete trade….
2. The dialog “Delete #N name?” says its actions and fills go too, that nothing is sent to the broker, and that you can undo right after. Click Delete.
3. To change your mind, click Undo in the toast.

Discard a draft

Use the draft card’s × or right-click → Discard draft. Undo in the toast brings it back for 5 seconds.

Note

If you only want to remove one wrong action, not the whole trade, delete the action instead: Journal → expand the trade → ⋯ on the action → Delete this action.
