Setups
You open the same trade again and again: the put broken-wing butterfly about three weeks out, short strike near the 10 delta, 2 lots. A setup is that repeatable way of opening a trade: the structure, how you pick the expiration, how you place each strike, and the size. Tented reads your trades, finds the setups you repeat, and offers them when you start a new trade. Use builds the legs on today’s live chain. Nothing is sent, and the legs land in a scenario you review.
Setups are learned per account. If you import years of history from OptionNET Explorer (ONE), your accounts offer their own setups right after the import. Trades you commit in Tented count the same way.
How traders use setups
Section titled “How traders use setups”- Start a trade from your habit. New trade → choose the account → Use on a setup. The legs appear in Scenario 1 with strikes chosen the way you chose them before.
- Check a setup before you rely on it. The editor puts each rule beside the strikes and DTEs of the entries it came from.
- Reuse a setup on another symbol. A new trade also lists the account’s setups on other symbols under “Other symbols”. Use moves the draft to that symbol first.
- Start from a workspace. A workspace with nothing modeled lists the setups for its symbol from every account, each tagged with its account.
Articles
Section titled “Articles”Limits
Section titled “Limits”- Setups are learned from filled entries only. You cannot create one from scratch, add legs to one, or change its structure.
- Written strategies (title bar → Strategies) are separate notes. They do not create setups.
- A new trade lists up to 6 setups on its symbol and 4 on other symbols; a workspace lists up to 6. The most observed come first.
- Tented does not offer your usual adjustment moves in this build: the trade page’s Adjust button is hidden.
